Pitti Bimbo 95 will be held from 22 to 24 June at the Fortezza da Basso in Florence as an independent edition once more from the Pitti Immagine group with the decorative theme of Pitti Island.
The growth in kids fashion exhibitors with the new confidence of living with covid has enabled this prime childrens fashion trade fair to separate from the menswear Pitti Uomo after two tentative seasons and return to its well known and loved format.
All physical exhibitors will also be featured on the fairs digital platform Pitti Connect from the 18th May.
One highlight is the return of the Apartment section with collections destined for the most exclusive boutiques, and the arrival of the Pop Ups, special layouts for turning the spotlight on products that intersect with kids’ fashion.
With 194 brands signed up so far, of which 70% are from abroad this promises to be the most important edition of any of the kids trade shows since the covid lockdowns began.
Special news includes the return of the premium Italian label Miss Blumarine and the debut of Atelier Molayem Kids, a jewellery line expressly dedicated to children experienced as a tangible sign of love. Designer Stella Molayem, whose womens collections blend religious and non-religious symbols into a new aesthetic, has conceived a series of pieces for anniversaries or for an exchange of pieces between mother and daughter.
Areas will be divided into buyers special interest groups such as the return of ‘Apartment’ featuring high end creative kids fashion labels such as Paade Mode, Amelia et Sophie and Raspberry Plum.
‘I want to be Green’ a major factor on buyers interests these days featuring small ethical labels curated both in the Fortezza as well as on Pitti Connect by Dimitra Zavakou of the Little Pop Up Concept Store, Berlin.
‘Kids Lab’ is a funkier younger sister to Apartment featuring labels such as the ethical Infantium Victoria and Ancient Greek Sandals.
Finally 100% Bambino which concentrates a mix of classic, partywear and sports styles with an eclectic mix of labels including John Richmond and Julian MacDonald, Manila Grace Girl and well known Italian shoe brands such as Naturino.
